Who we are
LAMO Assistant is made and operated by LAMO Ventures, LLC, a California limited liability company. This page describes exactly what the assistant does with your data, with no exceptions beyond what is written here.
What the assistant is
LAMO Assistant is a personal AI agent that you connect to your own accounts. It reads your email and calendars, reviews financial transactions you choose to link, briefs you, and proposes actions that it carries out only with your approval. Each user’s assistant is a separate instance with its own memory and its own connected accounts; nothing is shared between users.
Google user data
When you connect a Google account, you grant the assistant access to Gmail and Google Calendar through Google’s OAuth consent screen. Here is what it does with each:
Gmail (scope gmail.modify). The assistant reads new messages to sort them, spot bills, receipts, and commitments, and decide what to tell you about. It can apply labels, archive messages, create drafts, and download attachments such as invoices to review them. It sends a message only after you approve that specific message, or after you have explicitly told it that a narrow, routine kind of reply may go out without asking. It never deletes mail, and it never acts on security-related email (password resets, verification codes, sign-in alerts) beyond telling you one arrived.
Google Calendar (scope calendar). The assistant reads events across your calendars to build your daily brief, find conflicts, and check whether something mentioned in an email is already scheduled. It creates, updates, or responds to events only with your approval, or under a routine rule you have approved.
Limited Use disclosure. LAMO Assistant’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular: Google user data is used only to provide the assistant’s features to you; it is never sold, never used for advertising, never used to train AI models, and never read by a human at LAMO Ventures except with your permission for support, or as required by law.
Financial data
If you choose to link credit card or bank accounts through Plaid, the assistant receives account balances and transaction history in read-only form. It uses them to flag duplicate or unfamiliar charges, changes in recurring payments, and mismatches against invoices in your email. It cannot move money, make payments, or change anything at your financial institution; no such capability exists in the service. Full account numbers are never received or stored. Text messages
The assistant talks to you over text message (or a chat service you choose). Messages it sends and the replies you send back are processed to carry out your instructions and are stored in the assistant’s memory so it can learn what you approve. Standard carrier rates may apply.
Where your data lives and who processes it
The assistant runs on Anthropic’s managed agent platform. Your connected-account credentials are stored in Anthropic’s credential vault, encrypted, and are never exposed to the AI model or to code it runs. The content the assistant reads (emails, events, transactions) is processed by Anthropic’s Claude models to do the work you asked for, under Anthropic’s commercial terms, which do not permit training on customer data. The assistant keeps a small, per-user memory — your preferences, its task list, the rules you have approved, and short notes about what it has handled — in a private store on that platform. Text messages are delivered through Twilio or Slack. Financial data is delivered through Plaid. Each of these providers processes data only on our behalf and only to provide the service.
We do not run analytics on your content, do not build advertising profiles, and do not sell or rent any of your data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Email, calendar, and transaction content is processed as the assistant runs and is not copied into long-term storage; what persists is the assistant’s memory described above and the platform’s run logs, which are retained for a limited period for troubleshooting. When you disconnect an account, its credential is deleted from the vault immediately. When you leave the service, your assistant’s memory is deleted within 30 days.
Your choices and controls
You can see and edit everything the assistant remembers, including every rule it has learned about what to do without asking. You can revoke its access to a Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which takes effect immediately, and unlink a financial account through Plaid or by writing to us. To ask what we hold about you, request a copy, or have it deleted, write to hello@lamoventures.com. A real person will read it.
Children
LAMO Assistant is for adults managing their own accounts. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it, and current users will be told by the same channel the assistant already uses to reach them.
